Aura, 2017

light design

Aura is inspired from the sun rays passing from narrow windows of old studios and shining on the dust of the production. When the light turns on, beside of the main light appearing on the floor in the form of a sun flower, light also pass between the brass textures, shine around with little unexpected forms and lighten the patina of the texture.

Aura was produced as a result of mutual collaboration between me and craftsmen of istanbul to reveal the cultural and economical potential of crafts in Istanbul as an alternative-sustainable-local production model for creatives.
